Who Do We Serve?
Blossom & Bloom provides music therapy services to children with special needs including children with diagnoses of autism, down syndrome, cerebral palsy, and other developmental disabilities.
We also provide piano lessons and early childhood music classes to typical developing children.
We provide our services in the North area of Phoenix including the cities of Scottsdale, Carefree, Cave Creek, North Phoenix, Anthem, Glendale, Peoria, and surrounding cities in the North Valley.

Individual Music Therapy
Individual Music Therapy
Blossom & Bloom provides individual music therapy to children with a variety of developmental disabilities. Individual music therapy sessions are home-based one-on one music therapy sessions by a board-certified music therapist and involve the following:
  • An initial assessment of the child's current functioning in the areas of communication, cognition, socialization, motor coordination, and sensory processing.
  • An individualized treatment plan with specific goals and objectives developed by the therapist to address areas of need.
  • Implementation of music therapy interventions designed to specifically target each goal and objective.
  • Ongoing evaluation and progress documented through quarterly reports.
  • Recommendations to the family regarding progress and ways to include successful music therapy techniques into other aspects the child's life.

Group Music Therapy
Group Music Therapy
Blossom & Bloom provides group music therapy to children with special needs. Group music therapy sessions are facility/school/center-based music therapy sessions for children with special needs that consist of group activities that address many developmental skills including:
  • Butterfly Communication
  • Butterfly Socialization
  • Butterfly cognitive processing
  • Butterfly sensory-motor skills

Piano Lessons
Piano Lessons
Blossom & Bloom provides piano lessons to typical developing children, as the cognitive and motor skills needed to successfully learn to play the piano require high level skills such as learning to read music, using both hands simultaneously, finger dexterity, and self discipline to engage in assigned daily practice. Piano Lessons offer typical developing children the opportunity to experience the benefits and joys of making music while learning to play an instrument. The instructor will utilize traditional Piano Method Books that will sequentially teach students musical concepts such as note reading, rhythm, melody, harmony, style and expression.

Early Childhood Music Classes
Early Childhood Music Classes
Blossom & Bloom provides Early Childhood Music Classes to home-schooled children, child care facilities, and preschools. With typical developing young children, early childhood music classes provide a unique variety of music experiences in an intentional and developmentally appropriate manner to effect changes in a child’s behavior and facilitate the development of his or her communication social/emotional, sensory-motor, & cognitive skills.
